Lessons of Windsurf

School of Windsurfing

In our villages Vila Kalango and Rancho do Peixe, on Jericoacoara's coast, are activated two well-known schools, able to give you all the professional equipments requested, and qualified instructors.
We effect intensive courses with experienced instructors to let you start or to train you for your competitions during your holidays.

On the seaside there is the rescue-boat always ready for an immediate and safe rescue, but for those who prefer walk close to the sea is possible to reach the beach under the dune and then going back walking.

From June to October, streams often bring stones on the beach where is present the exit to go through beach's direction, so we suggest to carry slippers with you in this period.

The degree of indicative ability to surfing on these waves is 3-6

We have also the carry-service from the village to the beach and the equipment's box.

Instructors

We follow the newer teaching methods.
The professional instructors' team, most of them
born in Jeri, is high qualified; it is possible
to take part in english, italian, spanish
and portugues lessons.

Lessons

Basic
to the beginners we offer lessons to move their
first steps to the new sport, theoretically
and practically, letting them know the equipments and the wind,
starting and controling board and sail, making a first jibe.

Intermediate
this course let you update and consolidate
basis' knowledges.
We will teach you how to effect a quick jibe,
and many other manoeuvres like beach-start.
Moreover we will give you an introduction about the use of the trapeze.

Advanced
dued to your level, is possible to improve or adquire: waterstart, gliding positions, speed, power, jibe... arriving until difficult freestyle's tricks.

The Services of Vila Kalango (included in the stay)

Included in our village service there is a box to keep your equipment safe and protected.
Every morning one of our employees will carry boards and sails on the seaside and in the evening, after having washed all the equipments, will set them in the box.

To rent wind's or kite's equipments, we suggest you to contact us early before your arrive, through the "contacts" link.

To welcome you with more efficiency, we ask you to contact us having material's list ready (the ones you would like to rent) and telling us your level of experience in the sport.

Transport from Jeri to Praia do Prea and Back

For those who take part to the courses, the transport to Preà beach is included in the price.
