Jericoacoara is one of the best windy places all around the world, this because of the strong winds coming from Africa, called "trade wind".
Instead the most of the beach of Ceara's coast are exposed from NW to SE, Jeri's coast runs from E to W, parallalel to the Equator.

We offer course of windsurf personalized according to your degree of ability like rider.

Being exposed in this way, means for the trade winds the access without obstacles to Jeri's coast and the possibility to arrive there with their full power. So we have the best windy condition:
constant off-shore side wind.
Perfects conditions for wave riding are when the wind is side-shore, so when it blows parallel to the beach and perpendicular to waves' direction.
Waves' sizes are different according to tide: during high tide we can find bigger waves.

The middle windy speed always reaches 20-35 kts from June to January, with peaks 'till 40-45 kts.
We suggest sails from 3.7 to 4.7 metres.

On summer, from July to December, the wind is very strong but also very constant; in fact it blows everyday, you must be sure of this!
During the winter, from February to June, the wind is weaker and it is present usually three or four days each week.

The best period to find really strong wind and right waves is from October to January, usually.
Instead from July to October waves are certainly smaller, but the wind blows always with the same power and speed.
The only thing is that you will must get accostumed to the strong sea currents caused by the tides, that will get your sailing close to the wind a little bit more tiring.

But, as you saw, we can guarantee to all of you sure wind from July to January!

Thanks to his shape, Jeri's bay is absolutely safe also if it is present powerful wind and waves.

Water's mild temperature will make you free on the choice to sail only with a lycra's t-shirt plus shorts pants.
